“I am NOT a Michael Jackson fan,” is what I keep telling myself.
Yesterday. I enter Circuit City at Union Square in NYC with my wife, who is from Japan, and this DVD is on three modestly sized plasma TVs a the top of the escalator–which is crowded with mesmorized viewers.

We could not help it. The show was so awesome that we found ourselves standing there, entranced.

My wife put it correctly when she said to me in Japanese, “Whatever he does in life, people will always be facinated with his performances,” meaning no matter what freakish things he does to or with his body, it just plain wont effect the fact that he truly is the King of Pop (though I must then appoint Prince as the Emperor of Pop–sorry Michael).

That really summed it up; we were watching one of the all time great masters of performance, and indeed were lucky to be alive when his career was in full swing.

Michael Jackson is one of the all time greats–like Harry Houdini, Fred Astaire, Jimmy Hendrix, or Miles Davis. He’s a master of the stage, and–though I protest with myself–has a fantastic musical ability that can’t help but mesmorize.

On this DVD, there is of course a lot of lip synching. This isn’t so much a music concert as a stage show. And as a stage show, it’s one of the greatest of all time. Just seeing Jackson dance to his own music is worth your money.

Buy with confidence if you are using a Windows based PC -there is a little more risk if you are a Mac user Which camera should you buy… The Vado HD may have a slight edge for Window users – if you are using a Mac the Vado is still may be a nice choice, but you may need to download Perian or use a converting program like Roxio Crunch.

20 years and still great!!!
Just wanted to say I have loved using this pot for the past 20 years…most used and LOVED pot in my kitchen! Can’t imagine cooking without it.

Excellent ergonomics
I too ordered this pot based on the Cook’s Illustrated recommendation, and I am not disappointed. As a vessel I use primarily for handling large volumes of liquid, it is ergonomically nearly perfect. The height/diameter ratio is just right, as is the weight for a pot that will have to be carried full to the sink and then maneuvered to drain. As CI notes, the handles on both the pot and lid are particularly large, sturdy, and well designed.

This item was fairly easy to assemble. You have to be careful not to peel the paint, though, so watch for that. The door had a little bit of extra paint on it which I will have to clean up, but I don’t think that will be too tough. The door also sits a little below the drawer, so there’s a bit of a gap. It was shipped in good packaging, so no damage. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase for the price. It’s attractive and decent quality.I like White Kitchen Island with Natural Top.

Good purchase for the price

Price was right for what I got…
Merchant sent product immediately and I received very quickly. Merchant did his job. I’d use this merchant again.

As for the clock radio– it is adequate for my needs, and the price was right. It arrived with the battery already run down — I had to replace, and re-set the clock. Would have been nice if this clock could set its’ self using the radio time signal used by most other “Automatic Time Set” clocks.

My hearing is not real good — I don’t hear most alarm clocks. The radio alarm with a higher than normal volume setting gets my attention when I need to wake up. And that was the main reason for my purchase. I also appreciate the second alarm function.

Bottom line: It is O.K.

AWESOME
I bought this clock, cause it was smaller than my old one. I wanted something compact for my nightstand but not flimsy and cheap looking. This clock is amazing. It’s cute in white, the numbers are clear at night but not too bright where it becomes blinding, has 2 different alarm settings. Love it. You can use batteries or plug it into the wall.

The radio is not too clear though, but that might be my neighborhood.

LOVE THEM!!!
i have tried several different types/brands of ‘control tanks’ and these are the best! I naturally don’t have much of a waist and i HATE the little bit of “muffin top” some of my low waisted jeans and pants creates but because of the way these are constructed, it sucks it all in in just the right places and even makes me look like a have a bit of a waist! I started with 1 and have just ordered 6 more since I will probably end up wearing one practically everyday! another reviewer mentioned ordering a bigger size because of difficulty gettig them on – here’s the trick: you step into it like you would a one piece bathing suit. Otherwise you’ll probably end up dislocating a shoulder trying to get it off over your head!!
